Physiotherapy involves assessing, diagnosing and treating pain and loss of functional movement due to injury, illness or disease. The aim of physiotherapy is to promote, maintain and restore physical function to as near normal as possible. Some of the traditional treatment methods used include joint mobilisations, massage and soft tissue techniques. Electrotherapy is also used to bring about pain relief and repair injured tissues.

Posture advice and exercise therapy is commonly used to strengthen and stretch muscles as either part of the healing and rehabilitation process or to address muscular imbalances.

Commonly treated conditions include :-

  • Sprains and strains
  • Back and neck pain
  • Whiplash
  • Sciatica
  • Tennis elbow
  • Sports injuries
  • Trapped nerves
