Lake has over 15 years clinical experience and enjoys using massage, structural and cranial osteopathy to provide a holistic approach to patient care.
Osteopathy is an established system of healthcare; which recognises that much of the pain/disability we suffer stems from changes to the way our body functions, through traumas and incidents in daily living. Osteopaths work to restore the musculoskeletal system of the body to a state of balance and harmony, using hands on treatment.
Osteopathy uses many diagnostic procedures used in conventional medical diagnosis. Its main strength, however, lies in the unique way the patient is assessed from a mechanical, functional and postural standpoint, and the treatment techniques are applied to suit the needs of each patient.
Osteopathy can help with:
- Aches & Pains including arthritic pain
- Neck pain
- Upper limb issues (Shoulder, elbow, wrist, hand)
- Headaches and migraine prevention
- Backache & sciatica
- Lower limb issues (hip, knee, foot)
- Muscle spasms/ tension
- Sports injuries (minor)
Lake loves Cranial Osteopathy – a very gentle intuitive form of treatment, which is suitable for all ages- from newborn babies to the very elderly.
Working with small fluctuations of movement within the body, from the gentle expansion and contraction of all the tissues, the Osteopath can pick up subtle imbalances in the musculoskeletal system and provide treatment. (Although it’s called ‘cranial’, treatment maybe anywhere on body. )
Please telephone for bookings or to discuss whether osteopathy can help you.
